The Lambeth Climate Partnership is a growing network of businesses, organisations, communities, and schools committed to delivering Lambeth's Climate Action Plan and working together to tackle the climate and ecological emergency.

Station to Station BID used funding from UKSPF to help local businesses in Tulse Hill and West Norwood upgrade their white goods, such as fridges, freezers, and dishwashers. These upgrades saved the businesses' energy use and carbon emissions and reinvested money into staff costs.

The National Theatre’s waste company is committed to zero-to-landfill, but they have collaborated closely to boost recycling rates. They now manage over 20 waste streams and continue to explore ways to divert as much material as possible from general waste. Through departmental waste walkarounds and waste composition audits, they have gained valuable insights into how their bins are used, helping them identify areas for improvement.

The Root-to-Tip project aims to address the need to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables to increase their fibre intake and to combat the amount of fresh produce that ends up as food waste. A team at King’s are tackling this through their new ‘Root-to-Tip’ menu that uses more parts of the plant – like peels, stalks and skins!

Lambeth's Climate Action Plan was produced collaboratively through the Citizen's Assembly on the Climate Crisis, online consultation, engagement with young people, faith communities and key organisations including healthcare, educational institutions and businesses.
The Climate Action Plan sets out a 2030 vision for the borough with 5 core themes and measurable goals to cover the depth and breadth of collective climate action needed.
