Lambeth continues to deliver a range of projects in Waterloo as part of the South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us programme, building on the original Net Zero work to create a fairer, greener neighbourhood for all. On Lower Marsh, traffic restrictions are proposed on Saturdays to bring back the market. We’ve made the UK’s first business cycle hangar trial permanent, we’ve published an exciting Vision for The Cut with Southwark and continue to work in our local neighbourhoods to cut through traffic.

We are a local environmental action group of Lambeth residents. We are made up of people like you, and we work together to bring about local change that improves the environment. Friends of the Earth Lambeth is part of a larger network of FOE UK action groups, supported with plenty of expertise, training, resources and lobbying power.

Art4Space’s Creative Pathways unites creativity, climate action and youth leadership to support 18–30-year-olds in Lambeth. Building on 25 years’ practice, it offers co-produced routes into green enterprise, creative careers and alternative education.
Quick Fire Talk networking event on Transport. It will feature short presentations from Lambeth-based companies and organisations talking about innovative air quality, freight and active travel projects, and networking opportunities designed to foster relationship building and knowledge sharing.

Starting again in autumn 2025, our next Quick Fire Talk is on Buildings and Energy. It will feature short presentations from Lambeth-based companies and organisations on heat networks, community energy, decarbonisation and local area energy planning, as well as networking opportunities to foster relationship building and knowledge sharing.

World Car Free Day is an annual event that encourages people to reimagine spaces within their neighbourhood that are normally dedicated to cars. The event was part of Lambeth’s ongoing commitment to creating safer, more accessible, and inclusive public spaces that support active travel.
Lambeth’s Big Shift and Peddle My Wheels’ award-winning scheme Community Influencers has come to an end. We gave 30 beginner cyclists a bike and followed their journeys throughout the year. We caught up with Monir at the end of their journey to talk about their experience.
